CAN-Do! Project Web The Satellite Project which started all of this. We’re replacing large scale I/O Multiplexing with the CAN Bus onboard our Amateur Radio Satellites. To facilitate this CAN use we’ve developed a microcontroller board which is integrated with each payload developed. The “Widget” board firmware is developed and tested against our AMSAT CAN traffic specification. Use of this prefabricated Widget effectively integrates the payload with the Housekeeping Computer before they are ever plugged into the same wiring harness. |
UHU Widget Controller Software Download Control your payload via the CAN Bus with minimal effort. Easy to install and setup. For use with 1 or 2 Widgets on the CAN bus. Sufficient for all your payload interaction needs during your payload development. Supports: Peak Systems PCAN USB and Lawicel CAN232 Interfaces. propCAN will be added shortly. |
CAN-Do! NET Controller Software Web CDNC allows you to control one to “a full satellites worth” of payloads on a single CAN Bus at full 800Kbps speeds using CAN traffic patterns which the IHU uses. CDNC is a Windows application which allows overall control or control over a subset of devices on the CAN cable without removing any devices to create the subset. Supports: Peak Systems PCAN USB and Lawicel CAN232 Interfaces. piCan support is in testing. NOTE: we expect to have UHU and CDNC support for propCAN in place when propCAN first becomes available. Satellites by AMSAT-DL (Germany) Both P3E (Earth orbit) and P5A (Mars orbit) are expected to fly the CAN Bus. |
Satellites by AMSAT-NA (United States) Our EAGLE Satellites (Earth orbit) are expected to fly the CAN Bus. |
